Reverse description Central field features multiple horizontal registers of Kufic Arabic script arranged in a rectilinear panel, recording the mint name, regnal information, and Quranic verse (Quran 9:33). A circular marginal legend in Arabic script encircles the central panel, running along the coin's periphery. The flat, unadorned fields and angular Kufic letterforms are wholly consistent with standard Abbasid hammered dirham production of the early 4th century AH.
