The Greek inscription ΜΗΤΟΚΟ is arranged around the axe in the field, with the letter tau (Τ) of the handle rendered separately from the shaft of the weapon, a distinctive typological feature of this emission. The overall design is characteristic of Thracian royal coinage, combining a dynastic emblem with the royal name as legend. |
