Obverse description Bare head of the Odrysian king Metokos facing right, rendered in archaic Greek style with short, roughly striated hair. The portrait displays strong, naturalistic facial features with a prominent brow and defined chin. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-struck Thracian coinage of the early fourth century BC.
