正面描述	Helmeted head of Leucippus facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet whose bowl is elaborately decorated with a Nike driving a quadriga to the right. At the apex of the helmet, a hippocampus is depicted to the right. Behind the neck-guard, the forepart of a lion to the right is visible, accompanied by the magistrate's letters AΠH in the field. The portrait is rendered in the fine late-Classical style characteristic of Metapontine coinage.

背面描述	A large, finely detailed ear of barley with prominent awns occupies the central field, the stem curving gracefully to the left where a single leaf extends outward. Above the leaf, a club is depicted as a secondary symbol in the left field. The ethnic legend METAPONTINΩN arcs around the design, with the magistrate's initials AMI inscribed below the ear in the lower field. The rendering of the barley ear, the iconic emblem of Metapontion, displays the high relief and careful articulation of individual grains characteristic of the city's finest silver issues.
