Two attendants stand facing the altar, one on each side, each depicted in Sasanian royal or priestly dress with a small orb or globe to the outer side. Pahlavi inscriptions appear in the left and right fields flanking the altar. The scene is rendered in the characteristic Sasanian hammered style with bold, slightly irregular relief. |
