| Reverse description | Central field displays a multi-line Arabic inscription in three or four horizontal registers, including the name of the Caliph al-Radi Billah and a declaration of his authority, framed within a linear inner circle. The marginal legend encircling the central field contains the mint name and Hijri date formula, rendered in a clear, angular Kufic script characteristic of Abbasid gold coinage of the 4th century AH. A plain linear border separates the marginal legend from the central text panel. The reverse, like the obverse, is entirely epigraphic with no decorative or figural elements, consistent with orthodox Islamic numismatic tradition. The coin exhibits the typical characteristics of a hammered gold dinar, with slightly uneven flan edges. |
