| Obverse description | Entirely epigraphic design typical of Ismaili-Qarmatid gold coinage. The central field contains a multi-line Arabic religious legend arranged in horizontal bands within a plain inner circle. A circular marginal legend in Arabic script runs around the outer ring, separated from the central field by a beaded or rope border. The coin is struck on a slightly irregular flan with characteristic hammered fabric. No figural imagery is present, in accordance with Islamic numismatic convention. |

| Reverse description | Fully epigraphic reverse following the standard Abbasid-derived format adapted by the Qarmatids. The central field displays a multi-line Arabic inscription in Kufic script arranged in horizontal lines within a circular boundary. A continuous marginal legend encircles the field, separated by a beaded border. The strike is characteristic of hammered gold dinars of the period, showing slight flan irregularity. The inscription likely includes the name of al-Hasan b. Ahmad and related religious formulae. |
