Obverse description Frontal effigy of a crowned king enthroned, depicted in a schematic, archaic hammered style typical of early medieval Hungarian coinage. The ruler holds a long scepter in his right hand and an orb in his left, both rendered in bold relief. The figure is shown in a rigid, hierarchical pose seated upon a low throne, with robes indicated by incised lines. The design is contained within a plain inner circle, with the irregular flan edge visible beyond. No legend is present on this type.
