Obverse description Central field features a crowned hand (manus Dei) issuing from a crescent, rendered in a stylised Romanesque manner characteristic of Bohemian-Moravian coinage of the late 11th century. The hand is shown open with fingers extended upward beneath a three-towered crown. A circular border of pellets frames the central device. The retrograde or irregular Latin legend VRATISLAVS runs around the periphery, identifying the issuer as Duke Vratislaus II of Olomouc.
