| Obverse description | Within a raised inner circle, a stylized bust of Duke Vratislaus II facing right, depicted in the Romanesque manner with schematic facial features, a diademed or helmeted head, and a beaded chin ornament visible below the jaw. A pellet appears beneath the truncation of the bust, and a second pellet is positioned to the left within the inner circle. The surrounding legend WRATISLVS runs in retrograde or irregular Latin capitals around the periphery of the flan, separated from the central motif by the inner circle. |

| Reverse description | Within a raised inner circle, a schematically rendered hand holding a long diagonal staff or sceptre, interpreted as the Hand of Justice or a bishop's crosier, accompanied by two pellets to the upper right and one pellet at the lower terminus of the staff, all executed in the flat Romanesque hammered style characteristic of Bohemian deniers of the late 11th century. The peripheral legend WENCEZLAVS, invoking the patron saint of Bohemia, Saint Wenceslaus, is rendered in irregular Latin capitals around the outer margin of the coin. |
