Additional information

Otto of Bavaria's claim to the Hungarian throne lasted barely three years, ended not by military defeat but by capture — he was seized in 1307 by the Transylvanian voivode Ladislaus Kán, who also confiscated the Holy Crown of Hungary, effectively ending Otto's reign without a battle. Coinage from his tenure is scarce precisely because the administration never stabilized long enough to sustain meaningful mint output.
