| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features a monogram of King Odo enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with small pellets and decorative elements flanking the device. The monogram is rendered in the Carolingian tradition, composed of interlaced letters forming the royal cipher. A surrounding outer legend reads ODO REX GRATIA D-I, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The overall design follows the standard Carolingian denier type, with the royal name and title affirming the king's divine mandate. The flan is irregular in shape, as typical of hand-struck issues of this period. |
