| Obverse description | Central architectural pillar surmounted by a double arch, beneath each arch a confronted head facing inward toward the central divide. Above the arch, a crenellated bastion or tower bearing a cross, flanked on either side by a star. The composition is rendered in the flat, linear style characteristic of medieval Hungarian hammered coinage. |

| Reverse description | A mythical creature, identified as a dragon or griffin, depicted in profile walking to right with wings raised and tail curled. The beast is rendered in bold, stylized relief within a beaded inner circle, occupying the full field of the flan. The design is typical of the fantastical zoomorphic imagery found on late 13th-century Hungarian deniers. |
