Descrizione del dritto	Central device depicting a crowned shield of Aragon bearing the characteristic pale stripes, surmounted by an elaborate royal crown with fleurons. The shield occupies the central field of this crudely struck hammered billon piece. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design, reading +IOANNES·D·GRA·RX, invoking the name and royal title of John II by the grace of God. The flan is irregular in shape, typical of mid-fifteenth-century hammered Catalan coinage. The overall execution is characteristic of the modest workmanship associated with Gerona mint production of this period.
