Obverse description Facing crowned bust of King Charles Robert (Károly Róbert) with flowing curly hair rendered in a stylized medieval manner. The crown is depicted with prominent fleurs-de-lis or points above the brow. The mintmaster's letters R and K appear in the field to the left of the effigy. The flan is irregular and the relief is characteristic of early 14th-century Hungarian hammered coinage, with a beaded border visible along the rim.
