| Reverse description | A small crosslet with pellets at each terminal occupies the upper field, serving as the principal device above the mint name. Below the crosslet, the abbreviated mint name SEN is boldly rendered in large capital letters disposed across the field, identifying the Sens (Senones) mint. The letters are deeply struck in the characteristic Carolingian style, with pronounced relief. The whole is enclosed within a beaded border following the irregular contour of the hammered flan. |
