| 背面描述 | The reverse field is divided into two registers by a single horizontal line traversing the full width of the flan, a characteristic feature of early Carolingian deniers of this series. The upper register bears the first element of the mint name MAV, and the lower register reads RIN, together spelling MAURIN, the abbreviated Latin form of the Morigny mint name. The bold, slightly irregular capital letters are deeply engraved in a style consistent with provincial Frankish die-cutting of the late 8th century. A beaded or dotted border encircles the design. The flan is irregular and slightly buckled, as is typical of hammered coinage from minor Carolingian mints. |
