| 裏面の説明 | The Carolingian royal monogram, formed by the interlaced letters of KAROLVS, occupies the centre of the coin within a beaded inner circle, itself enclosed by a second beaded ring. The mint name legend fills the outer field between the inner beaded circle and the toothed rim, with letters of large module arranged around the full circumference. The monogram is rendered in the characteristic Carolingian ligature style introduced during the monetary reform of 793–794, and the overall composition is consistent with the Dorestad mint's output of this period. |
