Reverse description Frontal facing bust of Saint Wenceslaus, the patron saint of Bohemia, depicted in a stylized Romanesque manner with a nimbus or halo indicated around the head and schematic facial features. The figure appears in an orant or blessing posture with hands raised before the chest. The peripheral legend SWENCESLAVS identifies the saint, distributed around the coin field in the characteristically irregular arrangement of hammered Bohemian deniers of this period.
