| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized bust of Duke Bretislaus II in profile facing right, rendered in a primitive Romanesque manner within a beaded inner circle. The hair is depicted with incised parallel lines and the drapery is indicated by simplified linear engraving. The surrounding outer border is composed of a series of radiating wedge-shaped or cross-like ornamental devices arranged in a ring, characteristic of Bohemian bracteate-related denier coinage of the late 11th century. A degraded Latin legend, largely illegible due to the crude die-cutting typical of the period, runs between the inner beaded circle and the outer decorative border. |

| Reverse description | Central field displays a facing bust of a crowned ruler, likely a stylized representation of Duke Bretislaus II, set within a beaded inner circle. The crown is rendered with a prominent central finial or cross element above the head. The facial features are summarily executed in the Romanesque manner typical of Bohemian deniers of the late 11th century, with simplified drapery at the shoulders. The outer border consists of radiating wedge-shaped or star-like ornamental motifs arranged uniformly around the circumference, mirroring the decorative scheme of the obverse. A partially legible Latin inscription occupies the annular space between the beaded circle and the outer ornamental ring. |

| Additional information |
Bretislaus II ruled Bohemia from 1092 until his assassination in 1100, and his coinage reflects a period of acute political tension with both the Přemyslid family branches and the Holy Roman Empire under Henry IV. The deniers of this reign are documented under Cach's classification of Bohemian medieval coinage, with Cach#390 representing one of the rarer attributable types from his eight-year rule.
Surviving examples are sparse enough that die studies remain incomplete.
