Reverse description As a bracteate, this coin is struck from a single die on a thin silver flan, producing an incuse mirror image on the reverse. The reverse consequently shows the sunken negative impression of the obverse design: a crowned frontal bust with arms extended, the beaded crown and facial features visible in intaglio relief. The characteristic shallow, irregular surface of the hammered flan is evident, with no independent reverse design or legend.
