Reverse description Central field displays a Latin cross with flared terminals, flanked on two sides by a pair of annulets, all contained within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend TOLOSΛ CIVI, introduced by a cross pommée, identifies the mint city of Toulouse. The lettering is bold and angular, consistent with Romanesque feudal coinage of the early 12th century, struck on an irregular hammered flan.
