Obverse description Quartered shield bearing the arms of the Monfalcone family, surmounted by an episcopal crozier turned to the right. Quadrants 1 and 4 each display an eagle displayed, while quadrants 2 and 3 are further subdivided, each bearing an ermine in their respective first and fourth sub-quarters. The heraldic composition is executed in the crude hammered style typical of late-medieval episcopal billon coinage. The circular legend in uncial Latin characters reads: + AVE ° GRACIA ° PLE °, a Marian invocation referencing the Angelic Salutation.
