Aanvullende informatie

Andrew III, the last of the Árpád dynasty, ruled under constant pressure from rival claimants backed by Naples and the papacy. His coinage reflects a reign spent defending a throne contested from the moment of his accession. The Árpád line's extinction at his death in 1301 triggered decades of Angevin succession conflicts that reshaped Central European politics entirely.

The multiple catalog references here — ÉH, H, EK, and CAC — reflect how heavily this series has been subdivided by later scholars working from die studies.
