附加信息	Andrew III, the last of the Árpád dynasty, came to the throne in 1290 facing immediate challenges to his legitimacy from rival Angevin claimants backed by the papacy. His reign was spent in near-continuous political struggle to maintain an independent Hungarian crown against Charles Martel of Naples and his supporters. When Andrew died without a male heir in January 1301, the Árpáds — who had ruled Hungary since the late ninth century — were extinguished entirely, and the Angevins took the throne within months.
