Obverse description Armored horseman in profile facing right, mounted on a galloping horse, raising a sabre aloft in his right hand. The figure is rendered in the flat, schematic style characteristic of early Romanov wire money, with the horse depicted in full stride. The irregular flan, typical of the wire-cut (provoloka) technique, partially truncates the design at the edges. Fragmentary Cyrillic lettering is visible along the upper left rim.

Reverse description Four lines of abbreviated Cyrillic inscription occupying the entire field, rendering the royal title of Tsar Mikhail I Romanov. The legend reads in abbreviated form, identifying the ruler as Tsar and Grand Prince Mikhail. The lettering is boldly struck but irregularly distributed across the characteristic ovoid flan, with some characters partially off-flan due to the wire-money production method. No additional decorative elements are present in the field.
