Obverse description Crowned equestrian figure of the Tsar facing right, depicted in profile brandishing a raised sabre, mounted on a galloping horse with dynamic posture. The rider wears a crown and robes rendered in the characteristic flat, schematic style of 16th-century Russian wire money dies. Cyrillic letters 'IB' appear in the lower field beneath the horse, serving as a mint or die identifier.

Reverse description Three-line Cyrillic inscription arranged horizontally across the field, separated from the upper portion of the die by a tilde-like decorative dividing line. The legend reads 'ЦАРЬ И ВЕЛИКИЙ КНЯЗЬ ИВАН' (Tsar and Grand Duke Ivan), presented in the abbreviated and compressed manner typical of Muscovite wire coinage of the mid-to-late 16th century. The lettering is characteristic of the Tver mint style under Ivan IV.
