| Reverse description | Two figures face one another across an open field: at left, a standing female figure — likely a personification of a province or a deity such as Diana or Pax — extends a laurel branch upward with her right hand while holding a long sceptre or staff in her left; at right, Augustus or a togate figure is seated on a low platform or sella, extending his right arm in a gesture of reception or salutation. The exergual legend IMP X is inscribed below the baseline on which both figures stand. The composition alludes to Augustus's tenth imperatorial acclamation and the restoration of peace. A beaded border encircles the design. |
