An apparitor's staff is depicted to the left of the scene, symbolizing magisterial authority. The moneyer's name appears in the exergue and field as the legend C SVLPICIVS PLATORIN, identifying the tresvir monetalis Caius Sulpicius Platorinus responsible for the issue. The composition celebrates the joint authority and close partnership of Augustus and his son-in-law and general Agrippa. |
