Obverse description Right-facing bust of Duke Bernhard I of Saxe-Meiningen in high relief, wearing a long curled wig and armored cuirass draped with ermine. The circular Latin legend running around the portrait records his title, birth date (10 September 1649), and death date (27 April 1706), with the engraver's signature C. WERMVTH at the base.
