Obverse description Facing crowned bust of King Enrique IV set within a beaded inner circle, the monarch depicted with long flowing hair and wearing a crown with floral finials, rendered in the crude but expressive hammered style typical of late 15th-century Castilian coinage. The bust is shown full-face in a schematic, hieratic manner characteristic of medieval Iberian royal portraiture. A circular Latin legend runs between the inner and outer beaded borders reading ENRICVS DEI GRACIA REX, partially visible around the periphery of the flan.
