| Reverse description | A turreted Gothic castle with three towers rendered in detailed relief, set within a quatrefoil or lobate inner frame, occupying the central field of the reverse. The castle, symbol of the Kingdom of Castile, features crenellated battlements, an arched gateway at the base, and flanking towers of equal height. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with a partial Latin legend running around the outer border of the flan. The overall execution is consistent with hammered billon coinage produced at Castilian mints during the reign of Enrique IV. |
