The king is depicted full-face with a prominent beard, wearing a floral or jewelled crown, his shoulders and draped garments visible below. The effigy is contained within a beaded inner circle, surrounded by a Latin legend reading ENRICVS CARTVS DEI GRACIA, partially visible around the periphery of the irregularly shaped flan. |
