Obverse description Crowned facing bust of the pretender Alfonso de Avila rendered in a bold, primitive hammered style typical of 15th-century Castilian billon coinage. The effigy is shown full-face with a multi-arched crown surmounted by a fleur-de-lis finial, draped shoulders visible below. The bust fills the central field, with the circular Latin legend partially visible around the periphery.
