| Obverse description | Central device depicts a tortoise moving through water bearing a billowing sail on its back, a classic emblem of the motto 'Festina Lente' (make haste slowly). The legend FESTINA LENTE arcs around the upper field, while the lower portion bears a horizontal band inscribed with the maker's name WOLF LAVFER and the abbreviation RECH PE, identifying this as a reckoning counter by that Nuremberg maker.
