At the bottom, the crowned Norwegian royal coat of arms — featuring a lion rampant holding a halberd — is displayed, with two ribbon banners below bearing the motto 'ALT FOR NORGE'. |

Surrounding the central medallion are seven portrait busts of key figures from the 1814 Norwegian Constitution: Christian Frederik at the top within his own raised ring with his name surrounding him, flanked by (from left to right) Wergeland, Georg Sverdrup, Herman Wedel Jarlsberg, Teis Lundegaard, WFK Christie, and Chr. M. Falsen, each identified by name on banners. The outer legend reads '·VI·FØLGER·FÆDRES·LYSE·STJERNE·SOM·MANER·OS·TIL·FAST·AT·VÆRNE·OM·FÆDRELANDETS·SAG', and the engraver's signature 'Iv. THRONDSEN.
