Obverse description The crowned arms of the Royal Dublin Society displayed in the centre field, flanked by two classical female figures as supporters, one holding a caduceus and the other a mirror and palette. A ribbon scroll below bears the Latin motto NOSTRI PLENA LABORIS, with the engraver's signature WOODHOUSE F. visible beneath. The circular legend reads around the periphery, with INSTITUTED 1731 along the lower arc.
