Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Victorinus facing right, depicted with short curly hair and a closely cropped beard rendered in fine striated detail. The emperor's strong profile is characteristic of the Gallic imperial style, with a broad neck and naturalistic musculature visible at the shoulder. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP C VICTORINVS P F AVG, distributed around the bust from lower left to upper right. The flan is slightly irregular, as is typical of hammered gold coinage of the Gallic Empire period. The overall die work is of high quality, consistent with an official aureus issue from the Cologne mint.
