The portrait is vigorous and individualistic, consistent with known likenesses of Agrippa. The surrounding legend M AGRIPPA PLATORINVS IIIVIR runs along the periphery, naming both Agrippa as the honoured figure and C. Sulpicius Platorinus as the issuing monetalis (triumvir monetalis).
