Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Postumus facing right, wearing a radiate crown with clearly delineated spikes. The emperor is depicted with a short beard, characteristic of his portraiture, and the drapery is visible at the shoulder. The obverse legend IMP POSTVMVS AVG runs along the periphery in Latin characters. The portrait reflects the robust military style typical of Gallic Empire coinage, with strong facial features and a pronounced profile. The flan shows the irregular, somewhat worn character common to late issues of this type.
