| Beschrijving voorzijde | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Postumus facing right, rendered in the vigorous late Roman imperial style typical of Gallic Empire coinage. The radiate crown, composed of pointed rays, identifies the denomination as an antoninianus. The paludamentum drapes over the left shoulder, while the cuirass is visible beneath, conveying the emperor's martial authority. The figure is rendered in the abbreviated but confident style characteristic of mid-third-century Gallic mint production. The reverse legend IOVI STATORI is distributed in the field around the deity, invoking Jupiter in his role as the god who makes armies stand firm in battle. |
