Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Postumus facing right, rendered with characteristic bearded portraiture of the Gallic emperor; the radiate crown with pronounced spikes is prominently displayed above the bearded, finely detailed visage. The emperor's muscular cuirass and paludamentum are visible at the truncation, conveying an image of imperial military authority. The encircling legend reads IMP C POSTVMVS PF AVG in raised Latin capitals, distributed evenly around the coin's periphery.
