| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field carries a multi-line Arabic legend in thuluth script arranged in three horizontal registers, recording the mint name Bursa, the regnal invocation, the AH date 816, and a pious formula. The legend reads 'Struck in Bursa. May [God] perpetuate his kingdom. 816. May he live a long life.' A partial dotted inner border frames the inscription, and the flan edge is characteristically irregular and slightly clipped, consistent with hammered Ottoman silver coinage of the early fifteenth century. |
