Obverse description Central field bears a multi-line Arabic legend in thuluth script, reading 'Sultan son of the Sultan, Mehmed son of Bayezid Khan,' arranged across three horizontal lines within the flan. The script is boldly struck in relief against a flat field, exhibiting the characteristic knotted ligature variant associated with this emission. The coin is irregularly shaped, as typical of hammered Ottoman akçes, with a slightly raised rim and granular surface texture resulting from the hand-striking process.
