| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of Emperor Augustus facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition typical of Alexandrian provincial coinage. The facial features, though worn, display the characteristic idealized effigy associated with Augustan portraiture. The flan is irregular, as is standard for hammered Egyptian provincial issues of this period. No legend is present on the obverse, consistent with the typology of Alexandrian bronzes struck under Augustus. |
