| Beschrijving keerzijde | A dolphin swimming left occupies the central field, with a single barley grain depicted above it. Below the dolphin, the retrograde ethnic legend OΛBIO is inscribed, identifying the issuing city of Olbia. These reverse types — the dolphin and the grain ear — are emblematic of Olbia's maritime character and agricultural economy, and are hallmarks of the city's bronze coinage throughout the Classical period. The design is compact and simply executed, consistent with the diminutive module of the issue. |
