| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central design features a bold quartered cross of Jerusalem style with ornate, floriated terminals, dividing the field into four quadrants each bearing alternating castles and lions — the arms of Castile and León. The cross is set within a tressure of four lobes. The surrounding legend, partially visible due to the irregular cob flan, reads 'HISPANIARVM ET INDIARVM REX' (King of the Spains and the Indies), enclosed between two beaded borders, consistent with the hand-struck macuquina production method of the Mexico City mint. |
