Two figures are shown in dynamic struggle, one armed with a spear or lance, rendered with strong geometric forms consistent with the overall artistic design of the issue. The name 'FERNÃO • DE • MAGALHÃES' arcs along the upper legend, while 'MACTAN 1521' is inscribed along the lower portion of the field. The engraver's signature 'L. F. ABREU' and the mint mark 'INCM' appear along the right inner rim. |
