Reverse description A finely detailed high-relief effigy of a standing Dalmatian pelican (Pelecanus crispus) occupies the center and right of the square field, depicted facing left atop a rocky shoreline with stylized wave lines rendered in the field on either side. Two pelicans in flight are shown in smaller scale at upper center-left, conveying a sense of depth and natural habitat. The Turkish common name TEPELİ PELİKAN is inscribed in bold lettering at the upper left, with the Linnaean binomial Pelecanus crispus in italic script beneath. The engraver's signature B. Daglayen appears incused on the rock at lower center.
