| 裏面の説明 | The reverse presents a high-relief left-facing bust of Queen Hedwig (Jadwiga) of Poland, crowned and veiled, wearing a pearl necklace and richly draped robes with elaborate decorative motifs. Her crown is surmounted by a cross finial, and her hair flows in waves beneath the veil. The inscription HEDVIGIS. arcs above the effigy in widely-spaced capital letters, and the engraver's initials appear in small relief at the lower right of the truncation. The portrait is rendered in a medallic sculptural style, with deeply modelled relief that showcases the coin's proof finish to striking effect. |
